Inventory Overview
The Inventory module helps you manage products, stock quantities, stock valuation, production output, warehouses, categories, and inventory movements from a single location.
Inventory is tightly integrated with Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, POS, and Accounting, ensuring stock levels update automatically whenever products are purchased, sold, produced, adjusted, or transferred.
Where to Find It
Open:
Inventory → Overview
from the sidebar menu.
The Overview page provides a real-time snapshot of your inventory performance and stock position.
Inventory Dashboard
The Inventory Overview dashboard displays important inventory statistics and recent activities.
Total Products
Shows the total number of products currently available in your inventory catalog.
This includes:
- Finished goods
- Raw materials
- Consumables
- Services (when inventory tracking is enabled)
Total Stock Value
Displays the current estimated value of inventory based on product costs and available quantities.
This helps management understand:
- Inventory asset value
- Working capital tied to stock
- Stock valuation trends
Low Stock Items
Shows products that have reached or fallen below their reorder level.
These products may require replenishment soon.
Out of Stock
Displays products with zero available quantity.
These products cannot be sold until stock is replenished.
Recent Products
The Recent Products section displays recently created inventory items.
For each product, Ballie shows:
- Product name
- Category
- Available quantity
- Unit of measurement
- Selling price
- Creation date
Use View All to open the full product list.
Recent Activities
The Recent Activities panel shows a live history of inventory transactions.
Examples include:
- Stock increases from purchases
- Stock reductions from sales
- Production output
- Stock adjustments
- Stock transfers
- Product creation activities
This provides a quick audit trail of inventory movements.
Low Stock Alerts
The Low Stock Alert section helps inventory managers identify products that require replenishment.
When products fall below their reorder level, they appear in this section automatically.
If no products require attention, Ballie displays a confirmation message indicating that inventory levels are healthy.
Inventory Analytics
The lower section of the dashboard provides visual reports and charts.
Products by Category
Displays product distribution across categories.
This helps you understand:
- Product mix
- Category performance
- Inventory concentration
Stock Level Status
Shows inventory health using stock status indicators:

Stock Movement Trends
Displays inventory activity over time.

This helps identify seasonal demand and inventory patterns.
